Act of Shame!!!

I followed almost the whole of the trust vote.... The PM moving it, Pranab Mukherjee s speech, LK Advani s , Shahnawaz Hussain s, then Rahul Gandhi s Today, even Lalu s sppech.... and listening to the media, the whole deal seemed to be inclining in the favor of the deal. I strongly believed that BJP s refusal to the deal was just cause they thought that since they initiated the process, they very well deserved to end it as well, and not let Congress take the credit for their hard work. Advani s speech where he mentioned renegotiating the deal in a way confirmed my beliefs, and i was pretty happy that the deal would go through. Then came the claims of certain BSP MP s saying that they were threatened or indirectly bribed by saying “Mayawati “ could get a clean chit, and all that and our dear Speaker did take that into consideration. But the moment MOney was displayed at the floor of the House, just to prove a point, the faith in democracy starts to take a nose dive and India...

You Can't Lose what You Never Had!!!

It is a little challenging to leave what you have in hand and run after something, which might be look like a better prospect or sometimes, even your Long cherished dream. True, Job hopping is a new wave in the country today. People leave what they have been doing for years or months to do something, they really wanna do, or a better prospect at a competing company, but is it really that easy for a sportsman, and especially if you have the potential to be the "Best Player of the year". This is the confusing sight of None other than, Cristiano Ronaldo. A die hard Manchester United Fan, I could never believe that David Beckham, was leaving the club a few years ago, to join the Famous Real Madrid. But as a kid then, what attracted me even more was the 40 million pound transfer of the footballing great. I followed Real Madrid after that to see David play..... and wish he could. Fabio Cappello's distinction could be seen soon after. Though his first goal made news, Beckham wa...

Is it Really the Media?

The Evening News or the Breakfast News are nobody’s bother in today’s world, since we have channels which dedicate 24hrs for NEWS. A flip of channels and there are so many channels practically offering the same stuff, at around the same time, with only languages being different, or sometimes only headings being different. But in this age of competition, Even News channels fight for the draw of the First Blood of almost everything, be it our country’s loss or a win in cricket, or allegations of a party at another. But a few days ago, the whole nation stopped to look at a Murder of 14 year old girl, and before we knew it, it became a Double Murder and India’s Biggest Ever Murder Mystery , even before the Sun could set for the day. Its really surprising how hungry we were for information of that little girl, who must have lived a very simple life, but right now is more spoken about woman of the country, even before Sonia Gandhi and Pratibha Patil. Just try this, Write your name i...

Poor Mr. Somnath

Amidst the whole withdrawal of support and the government running into a minority(?), our dearest Lok Sabha speaker has been the largest sufferer!!! When CPI (M) included his name in the withdrawal list, he had the fullest of right to get furious and say that he din’t belong to any party, since he was the Speaker. And may be tomorrow, it might become true..... He was the Speaker. Its really sad, how even the Lok Sabha speaker was not spared in this political game. Is the Left pressurizing him, just to show on later, than Even the Speaker withdrew his support? With the Left deciding to display the flaws (Where can u see one) in the Agreement, and the Congress, following the “India Shining “ lead from the BJP, the country is set to see one more media war, after the Ambani dispute, in the days to come. And may be, the Ambani’s might join the drama on the news channels as well, after the MTN dispute. So, we can be guaranteed, Entertainment in this week, without Indian (Cricket) Tea...

Nadal- a Potent killer

Yes, a new king has been crowned at the Wimbledon this year. Breaking the monotony of someone winning the competition FIVE years in a row, Rafael Nadal has done more than becoming a champion at a Grand Slam. He has won two in a row now, and not surprisingly defeated the same player(World No. 1) in the finals. Though everyone thought that Nadal was the King of Clay and Grass was Fedex’s undisputed territory, this is surely more than trespassing in Federer’s area. This is more like building a castle in his region and blowing your trumpet and clearly warning that i have my eyes set on this region as well. The Spaniard Nadal has a reason to celebrate, since he has put his country on the Sporting map once again this year, and done his country proud. He will surely take rest now and start preparing soon cause he knows, Federer is now a wounded tiger. Federer is yet to win a Grand slam this year and guess his World ranking wont be affected at this stage of the year. But the slowly a...

A Brand new type of Reservation!!!!

There is a high possibility that you might have missed this news, considering it under the “OBC reservation” category, though it made to the main page of quite a few newspapers. But the government lead HRD ministry has successfully implemented appointment of Faculty at all the IITs under the OBC reservation.... Well, does the government want an OBC faculty to teach the students who will get admissions under the OBC quota????? If the answer is a yes, then there is no other discriminatory organization greater than the UPA in this country or anywhere in this world. But i know it better, it is surely not that. It is another attempt to woo the votes of OBC common man, keeping the approaching elections in mind. What i would like to do is ask the candidate who is appointed under the scheme to teach, whether he believes that it is right to get the honour of teaching at the IIT, just because he belongs to some category of people and not because of his talent? Does (s)he think that his/h...
