Poor Mr. Somnath

Amidst the whole withdrawal of support and the government running into a minority(?), our dearest Lok Sabha speaker has been the largest sufferer!!!

When CPI (M) included his name in the withdrawal list, he had the fullest of right to get furious and say that he din’t belong to any party, since he was the Speaker. And may be tomorrow, it might become true..... He was the Speaker.

Its really sad, how even the Lok Sabha speaker was not spared in this political game. Is the Left pressurizing him, just to show on later, than Even the Speaker withdrew his support? With the Left deciding to display the flaws (Where can u see one) in the Agreement, and the Congress, following the “India Shining “ lead from the BJP, the country is set to see one more media war, after the Ambani dispute, in the days to come. And may be, the Ambani’s might join the drama on the news channels as well, after the MTN dispute. So, we can be guaranteed, Entertainment in this week, without Indian (Cricket) Team playing this week.

Oops, i forgot Mr. Somnath, just the way, the Left did. A man of his principles, ready to become the Principal of the Lok Sabha School, to teach the students some discipline, is being made to bend, twist and turn, and even eat his words, for his party. This is the sorry plight of Democracy and not only that, Left joining hands with BSP (read Mayawati, if you wish) is questioning the Secularity Ideology of the Left straight away. Guess, the 24 KARAT Gold, is not what we thought he was. I was really happy to know he had decided to withdraw support, after the whole rigmarole, but he seems an opportunist to me, just like SP, Congress and at times the BJP has been.

Resignation of the Speaker at such a point of time, surely marks the rise of the Opportunistic politics era!!!
